A Wild Start: Wind, Gusts, and Canadian Wildfire Smoke

AirVenture 2026 didn't start quietly. Two days before the show opened, Oshkosh experienced sustained winds of 20 mph, gusting to 30–35 mph. This prompted EAA weather alerts to secure loose items. On top of the wind, heavy wildfire smoke from Canada reduced visibility at Wittman Regional Airport. This forced instrument-only arrivals and made national news ahead of the event. Huge crowds turned out to be a genuine positive for serious buyers and sellers. With shorter lines at food stands and room to walk the hangars, our team had extended, unhurried conversations about aviation real estate for sale. These quality engagements are harder to come by during a packed show week.

Our booth was filled with massive aviation real estate show posters showcasing airparks, runway homes, and hangar properties from across the country.
